Secure Swarm UAV-Assisted Communications With Cooperative Friendly Jamming

This article proposes a cooperative friendly jamming framework for swarm unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-assisted amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying networks with wireless energy harvesting. Due to the limited of UAVs, we develop collaborative time-switching protocol which allows UAVs collaborate harvest energy, relay information, and jam eavesdropper. To evaluate secrecy rate, derive outage probability (SOP) two popular detection techniques at eavesdropper, i.e., selection combining maximum-ratio combining. Monte Carlo simulations are then used validate theoretical SOP derivation show effectiveness proposed in terms as compared conventional system. Using derived SOP, one can obtain engineering insights optimize harvesting time number achieve given protection level. The analytical this work also be helpful future UAV secure-communications optimizations (e.g., trajectory, locations UAVs). As an example, present case study find optimal corridor locate so minimize system SOP.
